d recipe follows below and works well for cuppys too which i've already tried and tested
Sitting by my kitchen i aint thinking what a breezy day it is, though a lovely respite from our rather warm goan summer, whats on my mind is how am going to keep up with my running flow of thought about this lovely "bestest" chocolate cake ever. I am quite a new baker with starting a lot of baking this year but had been baking before my teens and was attracted to the passions of science of cooking and pouring over pot and pans but my baking was quite limited to chocolate and more. And did try more than a couple of choco goodies at that time but had to stop soon coz my oven couldn take the load and gave away after my delicious fruit cake at christmas as everyone wanted more and even asked for some to take abroad. That was the end of my love story. Now its after almost a 5 year break am back with a bang and a new oven. But this this is and has to be my best choco cake ever. But then everything about KAF is that way right? Its moist and soft and dense yet light and it amazing. Set out the butter at 2am, haha. And since yesterday have this craving for choco cake though have a lovely goan rich cake in the fridge, but thats almost over too. And thought why not make a layer of vanilla in between. Its been some time that had to get down to baking your yet another delicious golden vanilla cake which has cream cheese in it. I m very much new to the science of baking and maybe i shouldn be mixing batters of slightly different, actually quite different consistency, but my heart was made and the choco was thinner and the vanilla smooth and thicker, the choco was very shiny smooth too and had a lovely shiny crust too. Well the result is very deliciously beautiful, its like a vanilla suprise in the midst of a well risen yummiest ever choco cake with a vanilla frosting , sprinkled with choco cake crumbs and drizzled with a choco frosting. This aint going to last to sunday. I aint really carefull in weighing nor do i have an electric or stand mixer, i just had my hands to beat it real hard. Had 2 types of choco powders which i mixed and my vanilla aint pure either and i await the day will have a nice big fat goody bag filled with kAF products but will have to wait for my travel abroad.
And the recipe in used for the vanilla layer is golden vanilla pound cake. Its lovely too. And this whole result didn end up in our run of the milk ribbon cake but a nice special very beautiful vanilla layer in between.
what i love about this cake is not only the delish melt in your mouth part of it but also the real quik one bowl method,like kinda have the cake n eat it too and with some frosting in good measure
