BACK2SCHOOL CUPPY CAKES


I got a few tiny forms in 3 different sizes & was waiting to try them for a couple of days so today was it. Was talking to mom& we together spoke about the colorful sponge marble cakes she picked from the local bakery.


ITs been awhile am trying to lay my hands on some decent food coloring in pinks,yellows,blues..any pastel shades but haven even yet got a decent red ,dcant beat that one & i know bombay is the only place i'll really get what i want but no idea when we could go coz anyway i neither have the heart nor permission to go on my own.
So the only decent color i had was baby blue & of course choco powder. I do have hersheys strawberry syrup but that'll give a flav with the color which may not blend well na...with a nutella frosting..

FOR THE CUPPY'S

125 GRAMS butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 sour cream
1 whole egg
1 c. sifted flour
1tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla

FOR THE DIFFERENT LAYERS
1-2 dark coco powder
2 tbh nutella
few drops blue or any color food coloring


GET GOING
1)Cream butter & sugar well till smooth & creamy.

2)Separately,beat egg with the sour cream & vanilla.beat well.

3)Add flour sifted with baking powder,alternately with the sour cream-egg mixuture. Fold in & beat till combined

4)Divide the batter into 3 mixing bowls.

5)Add nutella & a tsp of dark coco powder to one. And blue food coloring to the other.leave one portion as it is.
6)FIll the muffin cases in layers with the diferrent colors in any order for a nice riot of 3 colors.

7)bake in a pre-heated oven @ 180*c till springs back to touch.


Cool completley before frosting ith nutella buttercream below.
~beat 55 grams of soft butter till creamy
~add in vanilla & around 110 grams confectioners sugar
~add in a good 2 TBH or more of nutella
~check for flav to add more sugar,vanilla or nutella
~frost oR pipe cuppy's




usually in a warm weather its best to have a cooling case but the a/c works best too & i dont fancy eating cakeys from the fridge though thats ok too but we usually keep churning fresh batches.
I've been like trying to source good chocolatey choco chips in white & sweet choco since a long time.I love the excitement that comes from indulging in baked goodies with choco but hello....where will i find real choco slabs pull  eeee  zeeee.....

Ok now a chef ,at a resort we buy truffles from whispered to me that they buy lindt choco for all their goodies but when i shared this with somebody,on enquiry ,this person found out that u get ready amde choco truffles at the place mentioned...beats me but will confirm only when i get to go goody shopping...hehehehee
