ONE PAN ROSEMARY CHICKEN W SAUSAGE-NIGELLA L @ IHCC

This weeks Nigella feasts is 'TRADITIONS' @ IHCC.....

(i hear cooking club)
Now traditions is a lot to a lot of people-and perhaps i can fill up a whole blog if i begin writing on this topic ,but lemme stick to this weeks tradition....
Ok u would expect to read something Christmas here but ,yeah am doing a little post on that too but out there traditions=nigella,so what really rings the bell is DINNERS......

Dinners????Yeah sure-me and all of u-ever since we are tiny tots/babies till today(@even 18 is a lot many years)we have been dining-whether its fine dining or lazy home dining or pure delightful home cum family dining......now if that doesnt qualify for tradition...what does?

a few toastees accompanied and to the left is the baked in lemon ,now v pickled...
Whats ur take on this????Would be glad to hear from u & ur best dining expieriences whether its with ur best pal or ur best fren-in my case my mom....we all having dining memories dont we???

After all we are dining every single day of our lives....even the ones we skip,to fit into those jeans or little black dress, are replaced with a glass of vanilla milk(@= binge at midnight with cookies & hot chocolate)or of late a biggg(really big)mug of hot protien shake,i'll take choco flav, thank u,

ok now that sentence grew on to get real long -still we are havin dinner arent we....
now this aint a feable attempt at chosing the wrong recipe for a fabulously rite week but an intro to why me chose this lovely recipe that have been so wanting to cook up,ever since last year, around this time(ok take a few months) when i saw Nigella ,for the v first time in my life (on television)and boy i was hooked, all starry eyed &drooling-jus as much effect as a Christmas movie this time around!!!

Oh yeah, there'll be a few who dont fire up at her passion with food-the ways she talks....
oh the way she walks.....
oh the way she keeps home......
oh the way she's a perfect hostess...
and most of all the way she describes food thru the way she cooks & all those mini micro-phones strewn ,perfectly @ perfect spots all over her counter ,capturing the delightfull sounds, the bacon frying, the squishing of the marinade & finely some cackling here & there & a garnish & there u r....

ONE PAN SAGE & ONION CHICKEN AND SAUSAGE
adapted from nigella lawson

LOVED THE ONIONS-WELL GLAZED & JUST THE RITE BITE-YET ANOTHER(ALL REALLY)NIGELLA RECIPE THAT ROCKS....
OK HERE'S HOW I MARINATED MY CHICKEN
750 GRAMS CHICKEN FILLETS
70 ML EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
LOADS OF HOME DRIED ROSEMARY(dont get fancy ideas-the fresh ones we pic dry on their own in the refrigeration)
FRESHLY CRUSHED PEPPER(i always love using whole ,just crushed pepper-well its different)
1 LOCAL LEMON-JUICE squeezed and cut into 4 pieces
1/2 tbh WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
3 SMALL ONIONS(PINK)CUT UP INTO FOURS.

TAke a zip-lock pouch-put in everything of the marinade mix(except chicken)and Squidge everything around to mix (the mustard needs help to combine) and then add the chicken pieces. Leave to marinate in the fridge overnight, or for up to two days.
10-12 OR LESS OR MORE CHICKEN SAUSAGES(i mixed 3 varietes)
Red PEPPER & YELLOW PEPPER CUT UP
GREEN PEAS

2.Preheat the oven to gas mark 7/220°C. Allow the chicken to come to room temperature in its marinade.

3.Arrange the chicken pieces in a roasting tin, with the marinade, including all the bits and pieces, and tuck the sausages around them. Sprinkle the fresh ROSEMARY leaves over the chicken and sausages and then put the tin into the oven to cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Turn the sausages over halfway through to colour them evenly.

SPrinkle peppers and green peas if using.

4.serve on a platter with mashed potatoes.

  4. Haha dinner is definitely a tradition in its most basic form! I love your take on this. There are a few memorable dinners that I can remember. My family always used to sit around the table and have dinner together when I was a kid, so there are all of those memories. Plus my roommate and I in college used to to try to go out to dinner at least once a week. Always delicious.

This looks like a fantastic dish! So savory and flavorful.
